the comic book bible
Monday, 30 April 2007, Written by commanderkeen

when i was like 4, my dads occupation was rescuing people out of cults, not to convert them into something else, just to help them and save their souls kinda thing...
anyway he also sold bibles and i remember he gave me one that was a hardback comic book of the whole old testiment and of most of the new one- up to the resurection, and i thought it was the coolest thing ever! even when we stopped going to church a few years later, and basically renounced our faith, i still read my comic book bible, and kept it close to my heart.

fast forward 10 years, i found it in a box full of old things and read it for old times sake, i still didnt care for christianity, but i loved it anyway, because of the sentiments and all that. today i am a happily converted follower of christ and though my comic book bible is tatty and cover-less i still read and re-read it cos it really was the most awesome gift anyone could have given me, and i cant wait to give it to my little sister who will hopefully grow up loving it too :)
