This weekend my husband and I visited our daughters and family in Sydney.

My husband and daughter 'soon to be married' were heading to Wahroonga to show us the church where she hoped the wedding ceremony would take place.  I followed them in a separate car.

My daughter  having taken the wrong turn found herself needing to cross the Pacific Highway into Finlay Road an intersection without traffic lights.  The oncoming traffic was quite heavy but eventually there came a gap suitable to proceed into Finlay Road. The first car went, the car in front of my daughter went, my daughter went and as I eyed the traffic coming towards me I made the decision to follow as there would be enough time if I didn't hesitate. I planted my foot on the accelerator and went, only to find my daughter stopping in front of me at the entrance to Findlay Road. It was immenant that I would be hit side on by the red car and others that were coming down the highway. I braced myself for the impact, swung to the right of my daughter's car only to face the side of the car which was the cause of the lack of  the traffic flow.  The car in front of my daughter was slowly doing an illegal U-turn!!  I braked and managed not to hit the car turning in front of me and can only praise God for His protection and that I was able to fit into such a small space in split second timing. The cars in front of me slowly moved on, my head throbbed for a long while and I was very pleased to be able to thank God for His protection.

Agreed! I am grateful to be able to thank God for his protection from that situation too!
