Moving House
Wednesday, 01 August 2007, Written by donnalea

I can't express enough how much of a miracle this is! After looking at the rental market over the last month or so there has only been 1 property in Gordon available for rent. And it was on the Pacific Highway which means I would never be able to sleep at night. Gordon is where we (my fiance and I) want to get a property together for when we are married as it is an extremely convenient location for the both of us. After there being such a lack of properties in Gordon we had resigned ourselves to looking in Hornsby/Waitara area as there a like a billion apartment buildings available there.

After applying for a property that we were only "meh" about we got knocked back and thus we had to keep looking for something that was decent without it being too expensive as we would still need to commute quite a bit to get to work. TWO days after being knocked back I take another reluctant look at www.realestate.com.au for properties and there was a new property available in Gordon. Knowing how rare a property available in Gordon is (that isn't a huge mansion that is way out of our budget) we decided to call the next morning and put an application in for the property even without seeing the apartment. The open house was to be on the next weekend, but Leigh and I would be out of town so we couldn't attend it anyway. From looking at the photos on the website we decided that we were going to get a decent deal.

So I call the real estate agent and they don't want to take my application when I haven't seen the property as it would waste their time if we changed our mind about it when we do see it. So after explaining that we wouldn't be around but were willing to put the bond and whatever else necessary for the apartment down she decided that we were very serious about getting this property and hence made the choice to show me the property later that day. Now this meant that God needed to work a miracle with my boss to let me off work early enough so that I would be able to see the property. Which he did!!

After getting the time off and the real estate agent showing me the property (after feeling bad when she had already said no to other people interested at looking at it before the open house) I was convinced that the property was absolutely perfect and definitely a gift from God. The apartment is newly renovated and has plenty of natural lighting. The Lord has provided this major need in our lives.

Thank you God for watching over our every needs!
