I had been experiencing a number of trials in my life as we all do and had been getting a great deal of encouragement from listening to Joyce Meyer on her Enjoying Everyday Life TV program. The topic this time was on patience.  Well that was something I could do with a lot of help on so I determined with God's help to be more patient.
It was the same day that I was driving into town and came accross a testing point....a van driving slower than the 50kms/hr allowed. (Having driven at the previous 60kms an hour limit I was still getting used to slowing down to the 50km limit - to be made drive slower even still was frustrating!)
I offered a prayer, "Dear God help me be patient" - at just the precise timing of my finished prayer and as I caught up to the van, it pulled off to the side of the road so I could pass and then pulled in behind me as we continued on our way.
What did that teach me about patience?  Nothing, except to talk to God about all things the big and small.  I felt His presence..as though He was saying to me   'I  hear you, I am with you." I was filled with peace and happiness for that God moment.
